Smooth Jazz at Sunset 2020 has been Cancelled. But, we will return Saturday, July 10, 2021!

With public safety and health in mind, the Smooth Jazz at Sunset concert in St. Joseph has been canceled until 2021.

The annual celebration of Summer at Shadowland Pavilion on Silver Beach is normally presented the second Saturday of July, in partnership with the Krasl Art Fair on the Bluff. After the Art Fair’s decision to cancel this year amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Smooth Jazz at Sunset considered moving to an alternative August date. However, continuing uncertainty and concern for public health in large crowds led to the decision to forego the concert this year.

Smooth Jazz at Sunset is a production of 98.3 The Coast, the Adult Contemporary radio station of Mid-West Family. It began in 2003 and has grown to be a major music event of Summer in St. Joseph, headlined by many of the biggest names in the Smooth Jazz music genre.

Concert Founder and Producer Gayle Olson of Mid-West Family said “We’re grateful to our sponsors for sticking with us as we attempted to make the event work for 2020. And also to our operational partners at Berrien County Parks for giving us as much flexibility as possible. However, with the pandemic, it simply wasn’t to be this year!” Olson said he has already had several conversations about Smooth Jazz at Sunset 2021, planned for Saturday, July 10.

See you in 2021!
